The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Aaron Clifton.
The shooting happened January 7th around 9:30 p.m. outside the Bayard School near Chestnut and Dupont streets.
Officers arrived to find Clifton behind the wheel of the car, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to Christiana Hospital where he died Monday (January 16th).
Authorities say there was a fashion show taking place inside the school at the time but they do not believe the incident was connected.
No suspects have been indentified and an investigation is ongoing.
