The incident happened at Front and West Ontario Streets just after 1:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say the suspect took the victim's money and then stabbed him in the face.
The 32-year-old victim was rushed to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
There have been no arrests and no word on a possible suspect.
