1 dead, 1 injured in Mt. Airy double shooting

Philadelphia Police have one man in custody and are looking for another in a double shooting in East Mount Airy that left one dead and one wounded Friday night.

It happened around 8:30pm in the 200 block of East Sharpnack Street.

Police say a 23 year old man was shot in the head. He was rushed to Einstein where pronounced dead a short time later.

A 26 year old man was shot numerous times in the upper torso. He was also taken to Einstein where he is listed in very critical condition.

Police say the suspects fled the scene in a green Mercury mini-van. Police recovered the van in the 200 block of Rosemary Lane where they arrested one suspect. A second remains at large.
