Fast moving house fire in West Philadelphia

Investigators are trying to determine what caused a fast moving fire that gutted a house in West Philadelphia Monday morning.

The fire broke out around 5:30 a.m. on the 5900 block of Locust Street.

When firefighters arrived, the flames had engulfed the second floor but residents were able to get out safely.

The fire was placed under control within fifteen minutes.

So far, no reports of any injuries.
