Fire forced the evacuation of a North Philadelphia high-rise Saturday morning.

Fire crews were called to an 11-story apartment building in the 2400 block of North 11th Street for reports of a fire in the trash chute.

Officials say smoke filled the upper floors of the building forcing temporary evacuations.
