Police: Dispatcher stole drugs from Target, Wal-Mart

DEPTFORD TWP., N.J. - January 3, 2014

David Farmer, 35, of Runnemede, was arrested on Tuesday.

Investigators say he is a civilian who worked as a dispatcher for the Burlington County Communications Center.

Investigators say Farmer robbed a Target pharmacy on Deptford Center Road on October 15th, stealing Oxycontin.

Farmer is also accused of robbing the Wal-Mart pharmacy on Clements Bridge Road on December 2nd. Again, police say, Oxycontin was stolen.

In the Target robbery, police say Farmer work his dispatcher shirt inside-out, a detail that was reported by witnesses.

Farmer is being held at the Salem County Jail on $35,000 bail.
