7 rescued from Montgomery County apartment fire

Montgomery County fire crews battled a blaze at an apartment complex in Audubon Thursday night.

Fire broke out on the second floor of one of the buildings in the 2800 block of Egypt Road around 8:00 p.m.

Officials say at least 7 people had to be rescued from the upper floor balconies.

There is no report of injuries, but Action News has learned the 33 people have been displaced.

The fire was brought under control around 9:13 p.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
