The fire broke out just before 1:30 a.m. on the 1500 block of Wildwood Avenue.
Firefighters arrived to flames showing from the second floor of a twin home.
Neighbors tell Action News the occupants of the home moved out within the last week, and the house was vacant.
Witnesses reported hearing several loud noises before seeing the flames.
"I thought they were shooting outside at first," Carla Stribling told Action News. "The booms were really, really loud - an explosion-type sound. And then my son was out here on the porch, and they saw the flames. And they kept saying, 'It's a fire! It's a fire!'"
Officials said everyone was able to get out safely from neighboring homes. There were no reports of injuries.
Arson investigators are on the scene working to determine what touched off the blaze.
More information was expected later Tuesday morning.
