NJ woman accused of striking 4-year-old in the face, head numerous times

LAKEWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) -- The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office has announced charges against a woman who they say physically assaulted a 4-year-old child.

36-year-old Augustina Rodriguez-Morales of Lakewood is charged with Aggravated Assault and Title 9 Child Abuse.

Lakewood Police responded to the victim's home on Tuesday for the report of an abuse call, and upon their arrival they found the child's injuries to be extensive.

Police allege that Rodriguez-Morales struck the victim in the head and face numerous times.

Rodriguez-Morales is being held on $50,000 bail with no 10% option, and a no victim contact order was implemented.
