Woman burned in Berks Co. senior living community fire

CUMRU TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A two-alarm fire at a senior living community in Berks County left an elderly woman badly burned.

Crews were called around 8 p.m. Wednesday to the Heritage of Green Hills in Cumru Township.

The woman was flown to the hospital.

Several other people were treated for smoke inhalation.

Residents who are unable to return to their apartments are staying at a nearby inn.

There is no word on what caused the blaze.
