Burlington County officials are investigating after a Good Samaritan alerted them after discovering a body in a clothing bin in Pemberton Township.

PEMBERTON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- The death of a man whose body was found in a clothing bin over the weekend in Pemberton Township, New Jersey has been ruled an accident.

The victim was identified as 58-year-old James Shay of Browns Mills.

The discovery was made around 2:40 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Country Farms convenience store.

The passerby who made the discovery told Action News she saw Shay's legs hanging from a Planet Aid donation bin.

Apparently others saw the same thing, but thought it was some kind of prank.

Police have determined Shay was trying to retrieve items from the bin when he lost his footing, slipped and became trapped.
