Body found behind Walmart in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An investigation is underway after a body was discovered behind the Walmart in South Philadelphia.

The discovery was made shortly before 8:00 p.m. Tuesday on the 1700 block of Columbus Boulevard.

The body of a white male was found face down behind the store.

Police say the body was discovered near the bottom of a rock bed; they say that is a difficult place to reach.

The area was cordoned off as police investigated.
