Boy, 7, shot in the face with BB gun in Mayfair

MAYFAIR (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a BB gun assault that injured a 7-year-old boy in Philadelphia's Mayfair section.

The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday on the 3200 block of Tyson Avenue.

Police say the boy was shot in the face with a pellet gun.

He was rushed by medics to St. Christopher's Hospital for treatment. He is in stable condition.

Police have made no arrests or found the weapon.
