Suspect, 18, broke into home in New Castle, Del., police say

Police say a resident of the Overview Gardens section of New Castle called 911 Saturday to report an unknown man going through her neighbor's house.

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- New Castle County police have charged an 18-year-old New Castle man with burglary and related offenses.

Police say a resident of the Overview Gardens section of New Castle called 911 Saturday to report an unknown man going through her neighbor's house on Arbor Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found Daijour Chase on the front lawn.

Police say he ran, but officers quickly caught him.

Investigators say Chase had a laptop, jewelry and other items from the house.

He has been arraigned and is now behind bars in lieu of $10,500 bail.
