28 more Kmart stores closing; 3 in Philadelphia area

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- More than two dozen more Kmart stores are closing their doors due to struggling sales, including 3 stores in the Philadelphia area.

Revenue has fallen 23 percent in the last year.

Sears Holdings announced Thursday it was adding another 28 Kmart stores to the 150 Sears and Kmart stores they had previously announced were closing this year.

Sears said Thursday it would close 109 Kmart stores and 41 of its namesake Sears outlets.

Those closures include three in our area.

- Kmart store #401 on Route 38 in Moorestown, New Jersey

- Kmart store #2620 on Moreland Road in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania

- Kmart store # 4701 on Tilghman Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania
