The woman who was hurt in a freak accident in Center City has been upgraded to serious condition as she continues to recover from her injuries.

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- The woman who was hurt in a freak accident in Center City has been upgraded to serious condition as she continues to recover from her injuries.

It was one week ago Thursday that 18-year-old Rebecca Kim tumbled onto 44-year-old Erica Goodwin from the eighth floor of an Art Institute of Philadelphia dorm room.

Kim, a student at Temple University, was killed.

Goodwin was rushed to the hospital initially in critical condition.

She's still recovering from a number of injuries to her spine and shoulder.

Officials say Kim was taking photos on a ledge when she fell.
