Firefighters battle church blaze in New Castle, Delaware

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Fire crews battled a church fire in New Castle, Delaware Wednesday morning.

The blaze broke out past 7:30 a.m. on Vandever Avenue near North Pike Street.

The flames were focused in the basement of the building that was believed to be unoccupied.

There were no reports of any injuries.

So far, no word on what sparked the blaze.
