A family in Indiana is flashing some serious cash with their car's 'paint job.'

Instead of hiring a professional, they covered the 1949 Cadillac with more than 38,000 pennies.

In total, the coins, which were all hand-stuck, added more than a whopping 196 pounds in weight to the car.

The car is adequately named "Penny".

Larry and Theresa Thompson say it took them and their two children six weeks to complete the project.

Since banks only store around $12 worth of pennies at any given time, the Thompsons ordered some from the U.S. Mint.
