Numerous injuries in Claymont crash

CLAYMONT, Del. (WPVI) -- Several people are hospitalized after an accident in Claymont, Delaware.

The crash occurred around 1:00 p.m. Sunday on Naamans Road near I-95 southbound.

Police say a driver was exiting I-95 onto Naamans, crossed all lanes, and struck a second vehicle.

The driver of the striking vehicle was trapped for about 40 minutes.

Once freed, he was flown to Christiana Hospital.

Four people in the second vehicle were taken to area hospitals.

The two people in the front seats were seriously injured.
