2 injured when motorcycle collides with pickup truck on I-495

CLAYMONT, Del. (WPVI) -- Two people were injured when a motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck on I-495 in Claymont, Delaware.

It happened around 9:30 Friday night in the southbound lanes near Philadelphia Pike.

Police say the driver of a pickup truck pulled onto the shoulder to help a disabled motorist.

That's when a motorcycle crashed into the back of the truck.

Two people, a man and a woman, were taken to Christiana Hospital with serious injuries.

Delaware State Police are investigating the accident.
