Philadelphia man gunned down near Coney Island

CONEY ISLAND, N.Y. (WPVI) -- A 51-year-old man from Philadelphia is dead, after shots were fired near Coney Island.

Eric Rivera of North Philadelphia was killed after a large dispute broke out.

Initial reports say Rivera may have been trying to break up a fight between two women.

Rivera was visiting family from Brooklyn at the time.

Right now police are looking for at least one gunman.

They say several people fled from the scene.
