A drug and alcohol counselor was arrested in Delaware for allegedly having sex with one of her teenage patients.

DOVER, Del. -- A drug and alcohol counselor was arrested in Delaware for allegedly having sex with one of her teenage patients.

30-year-old Rebecca Adams faces multiple counts of rape and sexual abuse of a child.

Adams was a counselor at the Crossroads of Delaware treatment facility.

According to police, she carried on a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy she was helping treat over a period of three months.

Officials say the two had sex multiple times in and around the Dover area.

Adams is officially charged with 12 counts of Sexual Abuse of a Child by Person of Trust, two counts of providing alcohol to a minor, and continuous sexual abuse of a child.

She is now in jail on $29,200 bond.

Authorities say Crossroads of Delaware has been cooperating with the investigation.
