WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police say an 18-year-old man has died after being shot and critically wounded in Wilmington, Delaware.



Officers arrived shortly after 12 a.m. Thursday to find Justin McDermott lying on the sidewalk in the 500 block of South Franklin Street.



He had been shot in the head.



New Castle County paramedics rushed him Christiana Hospital. He was pronounced dead less than an hour later.



Witnesses told police they heard at least six gunshots.



No suspects have been arrested.
