Driving lesson goes horribly wrong in Berks County

PENN TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A driving lesson went horribly wrong for a mother and her daughter in Berks County.

It happened off Route 183 in Penn Township Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the driver, who doesn't have a license, was practicing her driving when she accidentally stepped on the gas instead of the brake and went down the embankment.

The car ended up on its roof, just inches from Blue Marsh Lake.

Both the woman and her daughter are expected to be okay.
