Tanker fire closes part of I-95 in Tacony

TACONY (WPVI) -- Part of I-95 was closed early Thursday after a tanker truck caught on fire.

State police responded to the fire in the northbound lanes of the interstate in Philadelphia's Tacony section at 3:45 a.m.

Crews were able to extinguish the flames within 45 minutes.

Traffic then returned to normal.

There was no immediate word what caused the fire.

No one was hurt.
