1 shot and killed in Frankford

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- One person was shot and killed overnight in the Frankford section of Philadelphia.

The shooting happened just before midnight on the 1600 block of Dyre Street.

The 25-year-old male victim was found laying in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was taken to Frankford-Aria Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.

Police are still looking for the gunman who they believe fled possibly in a black Jeep.

No word yet on the motive behind this latest murder in the city.
