Fresh Grocer Supermarket robbed in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police were on the scene of an armed robbery at a Fresh Grocer Supermarket in North Philadelphia.

It happened around 6:42 a.m. Thursday at the Sullivan Plaza located at 1501 North Broad Street.

Officers from the 22nd district, and Temple University police responded to the scene.

The university sent out an alert on their Twitter feed asking students to avoid the area and to use caution.

It's not clear on how much was taken from the store.

Police are searching for two males, possibly a third, who was the driver of the fleeing vehicle.

So far, no reports of any injuries.
