Golfer hit by runaway golf cart In Berks County

BERN TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A freak accident sent a golfer to the hospital in Berks County on Thursday.

Officials say Carolyn Holleran was in the middle of her backswing this morning when a golf cart ran her over.

Apparently it rolled down a hill at the Willow Hole Golf Course.

The woman who was using the cart told police she couldn't stop it in time.

Holleran is being treated for three broken ribs, as well as a number of cuts.
