A new survey shows that fewer than 1 out of 3 Americans really use sunscreen regularly.

A new survey shows that fewer than 1 out of 3 Americans really use sunscreen regularly.

A survey from the CDC shows just 14-percent of men and a little more than 29-percent of women regularly put sunscreen on their face and other parts of their body such arms and hands.

The numbers are better when it comes to just applying to your face.

42-percent of women and 18-percent of men do that.

Of course, dermatologists are trying to get the word out that this is not enough.

One in five people will develop skin cancer in their lifetime.

Melanoma, the potentially deadly form of skin cancer, is on the rise.

So just a reminder, it is that of time year - make sure to protect your skin. That goes for men, women, children and adults, no matter if you have light or dark skin.
