Beach Caddy offering special discount for 6abc viewers

Summer has officially begun and to celebrate, we've got a deal for those of you headed to the Jersey shore this season.

A caddy will meet you at your house or your car. It's $15-dollars a trip one-way.

And Beach Caddy is offering 6abc viewers a special discount!

"Last year when you did our story, we had 1000 downloads in that week so this year for all of the 6abc viewers, we're giving 10% off with the promo code 6ABC. Easy to remember - the number 6, ABC, all caps," said founder, Todd Serpico.

Viewers can also use that same promo code for 10% off Beach Caddy's move-in, move-out service.

"That's where you go down to the beach for a week vacation. We'll have caddies meet you at your rental, unpack your vehicle, and set you up. So we'll do 10% off that service as well," said Serpico.

It costs $70 dollars for either move-in OR move-out or $120 dollars for both. But you have to book at least one week in advance and there are only limited appointments available.

And who can you expect your caddy to be? Likely a high school student like Jake Rader, who is a sophomore at Radnor High School and Beach Caddy's top earner.

"I just like the interaction I have with the customers and, obviously, it's my former teacher/mentor, Mr. Serpico's company - so it's just a great overall job experience," he said.

And Beach Caddy is owned and operated mostly by local teachers.

Right now, Beach Caddy is only available in Ocean City, New Jersey but the company is looking to expand to other shore towns as soon as possible.
