2-vehicle collision slows traffic on I-95 southbound

HOLMESBURG (WPVI) -- Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after an accident closed southbound lanes on I-95 in the city's Holmesburg section.

The crash was reported around 4 p.m. Sunday below Academy Road.

Police say two vehicles collided, blocking all southbound lanes.

The accident was cleared around 5 p.m., police say.

A 31-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman were taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital for what appears to be nonlife-threatening injuries.

One lane has been reopened near exit 30, but drivers should expect traffic delays.
