Officials say a woman died in a 2-alarm house fire in Chester, Delaware County late Thursday night.

CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- Officials say a woman died in a 2-alarm house fire in Chester, Delaware County late Thursday night.

The fire broke out just past 11:30 p.m. on the 2800 block of West 10th Street.

Firefighters responded to a report of a woman and her son trapped in a burning home.

Crews arrived and pulled the woman from a second floor bedroom but she died at the scene.

Her son was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries, officials say.

The Red Cross is finding temporary shelter for him.

So far, there is no word on what sparked the blaze.

The victims names have not been released.
