WILMINGTON, Del. -- Seven people, including children, were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on I-495 in Wilmington.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the southbound lanes near Route 13.
Three vehicles were involved the chain reaction collision.
Authorities say a vehicle swerved to avoid debris in the roadway and struck a barrier.
That's when another vehicle sideswiped the first car.
After that, a limo also crashed into the original scene.
Seven people, four children and three adults, were taken to Christiana Hospital for what appear to be minor injuries.
The accident shut down I-495 for about an hour but all lanes have since reopened.
