NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- An overturned vehicle shut down two lanes of I-95 in Newark, Delaware late Tuesday morning.
It happened around 10:40 a.m. on the northbound I-95, south of Route 896.
Chopper 6 over the scene showed the damaged vehicle upright after overturning.
The female driver and male passenger, described as elderly, were airlifted to Christiana Care Hospital for care. There is no word on the extent of their injuries.
Police also say a firefighter hurt his leg while working at the scene.
The two lanes on I-95 reopened around 11:10 a.m.
