Ironman triathlon coming to Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY (WPVI) -- Serious athletes have a competition to test their strength at the shore.

Officials announced Thursday there will be a half Ironman Triathlon in Atlantic City next September.

There will be a 1.2 mile swim in the back bays, a 56-mile bike ride through vineyards and forests, and a 13-mile run on the boardwalk.

Delmosports is running the September 18th event which is expected to bring new business to the shore.
