Police investigate Jersey Shore stabbing

LITTLE EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police say a 53-year-old man was found stabbed at the Jersey Shore Tuesday night.

It happened around 9:40 p.m. along the unit block of Corpus Christi Bay Court in Little Egg Harbor Township.

Police arrived to find the victim lying on a hallway floor with multiple slash wounds.

The stabbing does not appear to be due to criminal circumstances, but self-inflicted, police say.

The victim was flown to Atlantic City Medical Center for treatment. He is listed in critical, but stable condition.

The incident remains under investigation.
