Man dies after being shot multiple times in Kensington

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Philadelphia's Kensington section.

The shooting occurred around 9 a.m. Monday in the 3200 block of Kensington Avenue.

Police say the victim, a 36-year-old man, sustained multiple gunshot wounds, including at least one wound to his head.

Medics rushed him to Temple University Hospital in extremely critical condition.

He was pronounced dead at 10:31 a.m.

Police remained at the scene. Action News is told no weapon has been recovered.

A search is underway for the gunman.
