Large whale washes ashore in Strathmere, New Jersey

STRATHMERE, New Jersey (WPVI) -- A large whale washed up on the beach in Strathmere, New Jersey.

Action News viewers sent in images showing the beached whale in the waves.

It was not immediately clear what type of whale it was, or why the whale washed up on shore.
