Hazmat crews respond to Allentown hospital

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Two patients at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown prompted the response of hazmat crews Thursday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the hospital says it was around 1:00 p.m. when two individuals came to the emergency room on their own after being exposed to an unknown substance.

Both were decontaminated prior to entering the hospital.

A hazmat team responded to the scene to perform tests on the vehicle the two individuals arrived in, located outside the hospital campus.

The hospital says the incident has had no impact on hospital services.
