Car slams into construction equipment in Milltown, Del.

MILLTOWN, Del. (WPVI) -- A woman was seriously injured when her car struck a piece of heavy construction equipment in New Castle County.

The crash happened shortly before 8:00 a.m. Monday on Milltown Road at West Robino Drive in Milltown.

The front end of the victim's sedan suffered heavy front-end damage from the collision.

The victim, said to be in her 70's, was transported to Christiana Care Hospital in serious condition.

New Castle County Police are investigating.
