A body pulled from the Delaware River in Bristol is believed to be a missing swimmer.

BRISTOL, Pa. (WPVI) -- The body of a man has been discovered in the Delaware River in Bristol, Bucks County days after a swimmer went missing in the same area.



The body was discovered around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.



Authorities believe the body is that of the 22-year-old Virginia man who went missing Sunday after jumping into the river.



Family members have identified the missing swimmer as Marquis 'Mack' Richardson.





Richardson, who has family in Camden, was in town visiting.



According to police, the 22-year-old was with friends when he went into the river near the Bristol Wharf shortly after 10:00 a.m. Sunday.



He then disappeared under the water.



"The male subject was yelling for help from the buoy. He yelled three times then went under and never came up," witness Joseph Lentz said.



"By the buoy, I heard a guy say, 'Help' and he went down. He was trying to swim back," witness Enriquo Favorito said.



The water rescue quickly turned into a recovery effort.



The Point Pleasant Dive Team and multiple Bucks County fire departments joined in the search along with New Jersey State Police.



A second man also went missing while swimming in the Delaware River in Burlington, New Jersey. His body was recovered Sunday evening.
