Police say a mother was arrested in Toms River, New Jersey for DWI after she crashed her car with her 6-year-old son inside.
37-year-old Jennifer Hyman was traveling north on Cedar Grove Road in a Jeep when she turned right onto Bay Avenue and struck a vehicle.
That vehicle was a Toyota, traveling westbound on the other side of the road.
The 28-year-old driver was hurt and taken to Community Medical Center with minor injuries.
While officers were taking Hyman into custody, she resisted the arrest.
Police say she was handcuffed and attempted to kick the officer.
She is charged with drunk driving, resisting arrest and child neglect.
Bail was set at $50,000.
