Woman killed after falling into Galloway Township roadway

GALLOWAY TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A driver struck and killed a woman who somehow fell into the roadway in Atlantic County, New Jersey, police say.

It happened near Aloe Street and New Orleans Avenue in Galloway Township around 6 p.m. Monday.

Police say the victim was walking with another woman when she fell into the road.

The other woman was also struck and suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver remained at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
