1 injured in home invasion robbery in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA -- One person was injured after three masked men broke into a home in West Philadelphia.

The incident happened around 3 a.m. Thursday on the 5000 block of Chancellor Street.

The homeowner was pistol whipped, police say.

The suspects allegedly tried to take a safe from inside the house.

They made off with a cell phone.

The victim was treated at the scene by medics.

Police are searching for the bandits.
