FAIRMOUNT (WPVI) -- The streets of Fairmount were flooded Saturday evening with excited kids in creative costumes.

Among them were an owl, a panda, monsters and scary clowns.

A group of girls dressed as the characters from Monster High, and we even found a zombie football player.

Trick-or-treating together was a spider princess, witch and a power ranger.

It's no surprise when it comes to trick-or-treating, it's all the about the candy. Some trick-or-treaters shared their stash with Action News reporter Annie McCormick.

In Fairmount, parents like mom Lisa Knofoicek say it's all about the community.

"There's a lot of trick-or-treaters. We often get like 300 kids," said Knofoicek.

Dressaed as Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Barbara Mische took advantage of this year's timing of the holiday.

"It's a Saturday so it was just an opportunity to do something a little more than we usually do," said Mische.

The neighborhood even got a permit to turn the neighborhood into a family-style monster mash.

According to an online poll, Fairmount is one of the best neighborhoods in the country for Halloween.
