HAVERFORD, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police were called to a home in Haverford, Pa. on Monday after explosives were found.
The discovery was made around 10:30 a.m. along the 200 block of Laurel Ln.
Authorities tell Action News that eight sticks of dynamite were found in a freezer.
The home was being prepped for an estate sale after the owner died last month.
Officials say he had work in his career that involved explosives.
Explosives experts applied a standard treatment to thaw out the dynamite and reduce the danger.
By mid-afternoon they were able to take it away to a disposal site.
The rest of the house was searched and no other explosives were found.
There were no evacuations.
