George Washington High School dismissed following lockdown

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- George Washington High School in the Somerton section of Philadelphia was briefly on lockdown Tuesday morning.

The lockdown was in response to reports of two fights in the school between individuals.

There are no reports of any injuries at this time.

Coincidentally, an early dismissal was already scheduled for Wednesday. So, students were dismissed at 11:28 a.m., effectively ending the lockdown.
