UPPER DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) -- A Delaware County man faces sexual assault and human trafficking charges after police say he had sex with two teenage girls.

Pennsylvania State Police arrested 21-year-old Renell C. Quire of Upper Darby for transporting, harboring and having sexual relations with two minors.

Quire is the first to be charged under Pennsylvania's new legislation to combat human trafficking, which took effect September 2nd.

Police say Quire met a 15-year-old victim on a dating website known as meetmenow.com and continued communication with her through text messages and phone calls.

On September 3rd, Quire and a male friend known as "John" picked up the 15-year-old girl and her 16-year-old friend from the New Life Youth Center, located in Salford Township, and took them to Quire's mother's home in Upper Darby.

Once inside the home, police say Quire told the 15-year-old to go have sex with his friend John while he had sex with her 16-year-old friend, and that they would switch afterwards.

One of the victims told authorities she did not like that Quire told her to have sex with him and his friend, but she complied because he threatened to kick them out.

The man was later identified by members of the Pennsylvania State Police as Quire.

Quire is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, trafficking of individuals, statutory sexual assault, corruption of a minors and indecent assault.

Bail was set at 10 percent of $250,000.
