Man crashes into church after being shot in Spring Garden

SPRING GARDEN (WPVI) -- A man crashed into a church after being shot in Philadelphia's Spring Garden section.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Sunday on 12th Street between North and Wallace streets.

Police say the victim was shot while pulling his car out of a driveway.

He lost control of his car, police say, smashing into the glass doors of a nearby church.

The man reportedly walked away from the scene, and was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital by private vehicle. He is listed in stable, but critical condition.

So far, no arrests or motive.
