Philadelphia police officer shot 3 years ago returns to duty

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia police officer shot in the line of duty in 2013 is now back on the job.

Officer Edward Davies posed with his young son Monday who held a sign that read "993 days later...first day back to work!"

Davies lost a kidney and suffered a host of other medical issues after Eric Torres shot him in a Feltonville corner shop.
